Project Vision

Our goal for Ikokazi.ke was to design a bright, welcoming job board that instantly communicates trust, opportunity, and momentum. The objective was to create a clean, minimalist experience that removes friction from the job search journey while helping Kenyan job seekers discover real, up-to-date opportunities faster.

A light visual theme was selected to convey openness and accessibility, setting the tone for a modern, user-centric platform built to support everyday job searching and hiring.

Our Approach

Research & Wireframing

We analyzed high-performing job boards and career platforms to understand best practices in layout, search flows, filtering patterns, and application journeys. From these insights, we produced wireframes with a strong visual hierarchy—guiding users naturally from job discovery to application while clearly communicating Ikokazi.ke’s value proposition for Kenyan job seekers.

UI/UX Design

Using Figma, we designed a refined interface built around soft color palettes, generous whitespace, and clear, readable typography. The layout was intentionally crafted to reduce cognitive load, surface relevant jobs quickly, and highlight high-impact elements such as the search bar, featured roles, and category filters.

Development & Testing

The platform was developed in Framer for smooth performance and intuitive interactions across devices. We conducted cross-browser and multi-screen testing, refining navigation, filtering behavior, and job card layouts based on usability feedback. The result is a fast, responsive job board optimized for daily use by job seekers across Kenya.
